Elgton Jenkins injury update: Packers reveal OL's status for remainder of MNF vs. Eagles

Green Bay Packers center Elgton Jenkins suffered an ankle injury in the first half of Monday’s Week 10 home game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Jenkins is out for the remainder of the game, the Packers announced.
Jenkins, 29, got his leg rolled up on near the end of the second quarter. He limped off the field before being carted back to the locker room. Jenkins did not return for Green Bay’s first drive out of the half, signaling his night was done. Sean Rhyan has replaced Jenkins at center.
Jenkins has started every game at center for the Packers this season. A two-time Pro Bowler at left guard, Jenkins moved one spot along the offensive line ahead of the 2025 season to accommodate the arrival of left guard Aaron Banks.

Jenkins skipped the team’s offseason program as he looked to ink a new extension with Green Bay. He has two years remaining on the four-year, $68 million contract extension he signed in December 2022. An extension never came, and he quickly turned his attention to learning making the positional switch.

“They had a conversation, and obviously the conversation was going on for a long period of time,” Jenkins said in July. “But right now where we’re at is focusing on the being the best player I can be. Been playing this game for 20-some years, seven years in the league. I’m very confident in my ability and what I can do. The financial side, I know that’s going to come. Right now, it’s just how can we build chemistry within the O-line to get better and as an offense.”
Jenkins has been his usual steady self for the Packers this season. Green Bay, trailing 3-0 in the fourth quarter, will have to find a way to beat the Eagles without him.
