Erik Jones calls out NASCAR after hitting the wall at Dover Motor Speedway

The end of Stage 1 was not ideal for Erik Jones. Jones found himself with a flat tire and in the wall, but NASCAR held the caution. Despite the damage Jones sustained to his car, NASCAR kept the race going for the end of the stage.
Chase Elliott took the stage win. Should a caution have been thrown for Erik Jones, though?
On the radio, Jones called out NASCAR for holding onto the caution. He was slow on the track and everyone else was zipping by him. Still, no caution.
“F***ing NASCAR man, we have a wrecked race car and they’re running us around here at 180 MPH,” Jones said, via Matt Weaver of The Sporting News. Not a fun time for Jones.
Erik Jones and the Legacy Motor Club group have done great this season. There has been real improvement for both Jones and his teammate, John Hunter Nemechek. As it stands, there is still lots of room for improvement.
Jones has been multiple laps down most of the day as a result of the early incident in the wall. A weekend that was over before it really began for Jones. Without practice or qualifying, many teams were unsure how to approach today’s race. You could tell with how a few drivers had issues today on the track.

Erik Jones goes down early, Christopher Bell spins in Stage 3
A disastrous restart for Christopher Bell, as he was in the lead. He spun out and saved his car, but now has to fight back. It is amazing that Bell was able to keep racing. The entire NASCAR field dodged him as he spun in front of them.
More bad news, Christopher Bell appears stuck in dirty air. He hasn’t been able to move up in the field again after going to the rear after the spin and caution.
Now, Chase Elliott is fully in control of this race. There are over 100 laps to go, but it’s hard to tell how this one is going to end. Tough break for Bell.
Unlike Erik Jones, Bell avoided taking serious damage. So, he’s still out on the track and still contending for the win. The rain caution came out with about 60 laps to go and changed this race for Bell and his team.
