ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler revealed the latest on Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders in a crowded Cleveland Browns quarterback room. The two daft picks are among five QBs on the roster and Cleveland seemingly has many directions in which to go.

Gabriel and Sanders were selected in the third and fifth rounds out of Oregon and Colorado, respectively. But Cleveland still has veterans Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett. Not to mention Deshaun Watson is still on the roster, who cost a pretty penny amid controversy, injuries and poor play.

So how do the Browns manage Gabriel and Sanders? Especially when Fowler reported Cleveland was high on “DG,” an intriguing lefty quarterback coming off a successful college career.

“Well, asking around after the draft, the sense I get is the Browns value, or look at the roster through the prism of currency, through value, right,” Fowler said on SportsCenter. “So that could lead to a potential trade down the road. Because it is a crowded room. Head coach Kevin Stefanski does like to keep four quarterbacks in his room … So you roll up those four, they gave up a third round pick and two fifth round picks for Kenny Pickett, Dillon Gabriel, and Shedeur Sanders, maybe they can recoup some of that if they showcase one of those players in the preseason, or one looks good, or there’s an injury down the road.

“So we’ll see what happens. They’re going to give these guys a shot. They are very high in Dillon Gabriel. That’s a player that I had earmarked going into the draft. Was hearing from other teams that the Browns low-key really like him. He’s a smaller player, so he didn’t have a high draft status but they loved the way he plays the position so we’ll see if he can make a little move here.”

Sanders is hoping to follow in the footsteps of his father, Deion, who also has a gold jacket as one of the best cornerbacks of all-time. However, one of the concerns through the pre-draft process was the way Shedeur Sanders reportedly carried himself in interviews. Hall of Famer Warren Moon pointed out the difference between playing cornerback and quarterback, noting the need to be “humble” at QB.

“As a dad, probably an all-time great at that position, there’s a whole different mindset when you play corner compared to playing quarterback,” Moon said. “You can’t act like a cornerback when you’re playing quarterback. Quarterback’s a humble position. You’ve got to be respectful, you’ve got to be a leader, you’re the face of the franchise. There’s so much more responsibility that comes along with it. That’s what he has to understand.”
