Livvy Dunne is in the early stages of life after gymnastics. Not too long after LSU was eliminated from national championship contention, Dunne announced her retirement from the sport. A sad moment overall, things appear to be going well for the now-former LSU star.

Dunne took to social media to provide everybody with a life update. She is now in her first season of graduate school and finding different areas to call home. The video was filmed on the beach and Dunne said to be on the way to grab herself an island drink.

“First semester grad school done, house hunting at the beach, bought a NYC apt, and walking to get a piña colada life is sweet like cinnamon,” Dunne said in a TikTok.

Westwood, New Jersey, is where Dunne is originally from. Getting a place in New York City brings her back to the Northeast after spending multiple years down South. However, a beach house is on the way too, per the video she posted.

Pittsburgh is a place Dunne will likely be frequenting over the next few years as well. Her boyfriend, Paul Skenes, is a star pitcher for the Pirates after going No. 1 overall in the summer of 2023. Skenes is still in the pre-arbitration part of his career, not becoming a free agent until after the 2029 season. For now, no mention of what might happen in the Steel City from Skenes’ other half.

As Dunne put it, her life is “sweet like cinnamon.” One dubbed the “Queen of NIL” during her time in Baton Rouge, Dunne is loving what her life has become after her playing days.

Livvy Dunne responds to critics of ‘Riders Up’ command at Kentucky Oaks

On Friday, former LSU gymnast and social media influencer Livvy Dunne had the honor of giving the “Riders Up” command at the Kentucky Oaks. The command is ceremonially used to tell jockeys to take their mount.

While Dunne was honored to be a part of the historic event, some viewers online claimed the entire thing appeared awkward. This potential cringeworthy moment was made worse when the crowd was essentially silent after Dunne gave the awaited command.

Others said that Dunne’s line read felt unnatural. After several of her critics commented on her TikTok account, which has over eight million followers, Dunne finally responded: “I couldn’t hear myself because of the echo of the microphone.”
