Chris Maragos, a former Philadelphia Eagles team captain and University of Wisconsin standout, has been awarded $43.5 million against a former team doctor for the mishandling of his career-ending PCL injury back in 2017.

The settlement was made against Roman Orthopedics, a rehabilitation institute, and Dr. James Bradley, a former member of the Eagles’ medical staff.

The suit was filed by Maragos back in 2019 which had allegations that Bradley did not address the injury at the time it occurred and it led to his premature retirement. The injury occurred back in October of 2017 on a punt return against the Carolina Panthers.

Maragos finished his eight-year career playing for three different teams — the San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks and Eagles — where he notched 90 career tackles.

Super Bowl LVII set the mark as most watched SB in the last six years

Super Bowl LVII was one for the ages. And according to the viewing numbers from Sunday’s finale to the 2022-2023 season, it is also one for the record books. According to the data, Super Bowl LVII set the mark as the most-watched Super Bowl of the decade. In fact, it would also be the most-watched Super Bowl in the last six.

“Super Bowl LVII had 113 million viewers. The Rihanna halftime show had 118.7 million viewers 113 million viewers is a six-year high for Super Bowls. (It) Ranks as the third most watched TV show of all time,” said NFL reporter Dov Kleiman via Twitter.

Surprisingly enough, the viewership numbers jumped up by nearly 6 million during the halftime show. Halftime performances have been hit or miss during recent Super Bowls, but it appears that Grammy-winning artist Rihanna was must-see TV for fans of the game and then some. Though, her performance has gained mixed reactions from fans from around social media.
