Iowa Corn 350 comes down to fuel, tires
Five months is a long time. Not as long as Brad Keselowski has had to wait for his next win. It looked like he might have had the car to do it today, but his No. 6 Ford Mustang Dark Horse fell off towards the end of the race and couldn’t reel in the 24. So, with no late-race restart, Byron had no issues putting this one away.
William Byron retakes the points lead in the Cup Series. Despite his fuel deficit, Byron got the job done today in the Iowa Corn 350. During the closing laps, he saved enough to make it to the line. Is this the momentum he needs to make a run for the championship?
