Report: Packers RB Aaron Jones inactive for Monday Night Football vs Raiders

The Green Bay Packers will be without running back Aaron Jones yet again for their Monday Night Football matchup with the Las Vegas Raiders as the star running back has been ruled out according to NFL insider Tom Pelissero.
This will be Jones’ second scratch for the Packers this season after suffering a hamstring injury, only making appearances in Week 1 versus the Chicago Bears and in the team’s last matchup with the Detroit Lions.
Jones injured his hamstring at the end of a touchdown run in the second half versus the Bears, which caused him to miss games versus the Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints. He returned from his injury against the Lions with expectations to ramp up into full health, appearing in 20 snaps for the Packers where he received five carries and was targeted twice in the pass game for 14 total yards.
But after being a limited participant in practice all week for Green Bay and being unable to go on Monday night, it’s clear that Jones’ is still battling through his injury struggles this season.

Jones is fresh off of one of his most impressive seasons to date in the NFL, rushing for a career-high 1,121 yards last season for Green Bay. But the Packers will now have to continue rely on running back AJ Dillon to take on the team’s workload in the run game.
Dillon currently leads Green Bay in rushing this season with 118 yards on the ground, as the Packers continue to struggle in the run game. Only the Raiders currently rush for fewer yards a game this year with the Packers averaging just 74.5 rushing yards per game through four weeks of the season.
Hopefully, the Packers can find a spark in the run game on Monday night without their Pro Bowl running back versus Las Vegas, who gave up 155 yards on the ground and two rushing scores a week ago to a Los Angeles Chargers team that also was without their star running Austin Ekeler.
