Green Bay Packers, Seattle Seahawks erupt into massive brawl during joint practice

Teams’ win-loss records aren’t even on the line yet, and fights are already breaking out this fall. On Thursday, a brawl erupted between the Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks at a joint practice.
From the video that surfaced online, it’s unclear what started the fight. Alas, it was easy to see Packers offensive tackle Zach Tom wasn’t happy.
The 6-foot-4, 300-pound lineman appeared to punch two Seahawks players before being swarmed by several players in navy blue. Meanwhile, Packers tight end Tucker Kraft went after Seahawks cornerback Devon Witherspoon, driving him into the heart of the scram.
Like Tom, Tucker Kraft was quickly surrounded by Seahawks players and disappeared from view in the video. While the Packers’ and Seahawks’ brawl went a bit further than most scuffles during fall camp, preseason fights are far from a rare sight.
In fact, the brawl between the two teams in the video wasn’t even the only one of the day. The Packers and Seahawks will be able to settle their differences on Saturday when they meet for their final showdown of the preseason at 4 p.m. ET. The game will air live on NFL Network.
No players reportedly suffered an injury in the brawl. It’s welcome news for the Packers, who can’t afford any more injuries as they enter the 2025 season.

Update on Packers QB Jordan Love’s injury
Last week, quarterback Jordan Love underwent surgery on his left thumb after sustaining an injury in the Packers’ preseason opener against the New York Jets. After dealing with injuries last season, Love wanted to go ahead with the surgery to ensure he’s fully healthy by the time the regular season begins.
“I think with the time frame that we have right now, finishing up training camp and preseason and heading into the season with the choice to be going into the season 100% healthy was definitely the call I wanted to make,” Love said, via Rob Demovsky of ESPN. “Dealing with injuries last year, I wanted to go into this thing feeling good.
“If this was in the middle of the season, probably would’ve been something we didn’t get the surgery on… But with it still being early and I’m having time to recover and be fully ready for Week 1, the recommendation was to get the surgery.”
Love threw for 3,389 yards, 25 touchdowns and 11 interceptions on 63.1% passing last season. All of Love’s interceptions came between Weeks 1-11. In his last seven starts of the season, Love threw for nine touchdowns with no turnovers.
