Ahead of their matchup with the Detroit Lions this week, the Green Bay Packers have made their injury report available from Wednesday’s practice. David Bakhtiari was listed as a limited participant on Wednesday, however the Packers held a walk-through practice which makes their injury report an estimation.

Packers vs Lions Wednesday injury report

Did Not Practice – Packers: QB Aaron Rodgers(Toe), DL Kingsley Keke(Illness)

Rodgers’ toe has been a constant source of pain for the MVP quarterback, but has still not kept him from playing each week. The Packers have already secured the No. 1 seed in the NFC heading into the playoffs. With no real incentive to play, it will be worth watching to see if Rodgers is given any rest before the playoffs begin.

The counter-argument for resting Rodgers or any other starters is that they will have a three-week break before their first playoff game. The Packers will host whoever is the lowest seed remaining at Lambeau Field after the wild card games finish.

Limited Participation – Packers: T David Bakhtiari, LB De’Vondre Campbell(Elbow), TE Dominique Dafney(Ankle), RB Aaron Jones(Knee)

The additional time off helps tackle David Bakhtiari however, as he continues to attempt his return from an ACL tear that has kept him out for nearly a full year. Without Bakhtiari, the Packers fell to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC championship game last year, but have the best record in the NFL this season.

Bakhtiari made a comeback to practice earlier this year, but was quickly moved back out of the practice lineup as he wasn’t ready to come back just yet. The early week estimation shows Bakhtiari could be returning to practice in limited fashion, but there will be no new information until Thursday.

The Packers have not made a decision on him being available just yet, but if he’s ready it may be worth having him play in a game before the playoffs start to knock off any rust.

Aaron Jones was limited on Wednesday, but is expected to be available against the Lions if they need him.
