Green flag for AdventHealth 400 delayed due to rain at Kansas Speedway

Things are going to be slightly delayed before the start of the AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway due to rain that moved into the area. Rain has been flirting with the NASCAR festivities and unfortunately, showed back up for Sunday.
Don’t worry too much, it doesn’t seem like it is going to be a huge delay. The jet driers will get on the track and try to get things ready to go as quickly as possible. The AdventHealth 400 will be led to green by Christopher Bell.
Rain has played a factor a few times this season. However, NASCAR has gotten lucky in recent weeks with the weather. It appears that luck has run out as we now have an official delay.
Green flag was originally scheduled for 3:13 PM EST. Kansas Speedway does have lights, so this race will happen after the track is dried and driver intros can take place.
Rain has been surprisingly kind to NASCAR this year. At Dover it didn’t mess up what was a fantastic Xfinity Series race. The bad weather also spared Talladega weekend and kept it from being a repeat of Daytona.
So, we’re going to go racing, the only question is when? With lights at Kansas, they can wait all night if they have to. However, it won’t have to come to that.

Christopher Bell will lead AdventHealth 400 to green
When this race does get going today, Christopher Bell will be out front. Bell has won more pole awards than any other driver in the Next Gen era. This Kansas pole gives him a great opportunity to get his season going in a positive direction again.
The last month has been hell for Bell’s standing in the points. Starting on the pole, Bell has the best starting position of the season and he’s ready to get the finish to go with it. The only issue is that we are under a rain delay and don’t know when racing will happen.
Bell has made the Championship 4 for the last two years. He does have a win this year, at Phoenix to boot, but everything else has been… rough. Toyota is strong at Kansas and he has the pole, so his chance at picking up a top-5 is solid.
The AdventHealth 400 is going to be a good race. I think that if this race is under the lights, the vibes could be amazing. Multiple grooves, fast laps, a ton of eager and hungry drivers – get ready for one of the best races of the season.
