Out with the old and in with the new. Haas Factory Team has officially launched its social media rebrand from Stewart-Haas Racing. From four cars to one and a completely new logo and look, this is a new NASCAR organization for all intents and purposes.

Cole Custer will drive the only Cup Series car the team has. Meanwhile, Sheldon Creed and Sam Mayer are driving the Xfinity Series cars. Mayer could be a championship contender if the cars are as good as they were under SHR.

Haas Factory Team is here. In a few weeks time, we will see just what this organization has in store. They are allied with RFK Racing, and early signs point to this essentially being a fourth RFK car in the Cup Series.

Does this hype video get you pumped for the season?

I think the real question is will Sheldon Creed win a race? He has spent time at Richard Childress and Joe Gibbs Racing. He does not have a checkered flag to show for it in the Xfinity Series, though.

There were six times in 2024 when Creed finished P2. In his career, he has 13 runner-up finishes without a win. That is a NASCAR record.

Now Creed steps into the No. 00. That has been a championship contending, and winning, car in the last two seasons. That’s going to put pressure on Creed to finally get to victory lane.

Haas Factory Team downsizes after Stewart-Haas closure

There are a lot of questions about Haas Factory Team in 2025. When an organization downsizes and changes operations like this in a major way, you don’t know what the results might be. There are a few positives in their favor, though.

Keeping Cole Custer on is a good thing. Let’s not forget that Custer has won a Cup Series race and has made the playoffs at Stewart-Haas Racing. And that was in the down years of the organization.

The alliance with RFK Racing is major. RFK is a team on the rise. They are adding Ryan Preece to a third car and the Haas Factory Team No. 41 is more or less an extension of that organization.

Cole Custer’s crew chief Aaron Kramer is coming to Haas from RFK. He believes that he is receiving all of the information that the RFK teams are getting. So far, he hasn’t been told no. Should we expect good things from this No. 41 team or give them time to settle into things?
