Adam Sandler releases 'Happy Gilmore 2' teaser trailer featuring Travis Kelce

Christmas Day is shaping up to be a big one for Netflix with two NFL games. But Adam Sandler added to the excitement, releasing a teaser trailer for Happy Gilmore 2.
The sequel to the 1996 fan-favorite will come out on Netflix in 2025, and the anticipation is building. Sandler is notably returning, as is Christopher McDonald as Shooter McGavin, Julie Bowen as Virginia Venit and Ben Stiller as Hal, the nursing home worker.
There will also be plenty of cameos, and one made it into the teaser trailer. Travis Kelce appeared as a waiter at the country club, meaning he will also have a role in the film.
Sandler previously confirmed that Kelce would have a role in the film. The Kansas City Chiefs star made quite the impression, as well.
“Travis, he mentioned it and so we have a nice something for Travis,” Sandler said. “He’s going to come by and he’s a very nice guy. You guys would love him in real life. What a big, handsome guy and funny, cool as hell. He’s a stud and he’s so funny.”

Kelce expressed interest in appearing in the film during his New Heights podcast alongside his brother, Jason. That apparently caught Sandler’s attention, and he made it into the teaser trailer on Wednesday.
“I didn’t even know there was a job opening for ‘Happy Gilmore 2,’ but if there is I’ll be a fu*king extra,” Kelce said. “Anything I can do to get around Happy Gilmore or an Adam Sandler film or set, count me in. Obviously been a huge fan of ‘the Sandman,’ but yes. This is exactly what it says it is: a conspiracy theory. “Who knows? Theories can come true. Theories can be true and just people don’t know about it. So, I might even be in the talking [for the film] and nobody knows about it. But I could also not be in the talking so.”
Happy Gilmore released in 1996 and became an instant favorite among golf fans, which adds to the excitement around the second installment. Much like the first film, multiple professional golfers will have cameos. Keegan Bradley, John Daly, Jordan Spieth, Rickie Fowler and Jack Nicklaus are among the list of appearances, as is Lee Trevino, who was famously in the original movie, as well.
