Heated brawl breaks out during 49ers-Broncos game

A handful of football fans in San Francisco are already in midseason form. Multiple fans attending Saturday’s Broncos-49ers game at Levi’s Stadium got involved in a wild brawl.
It’s not really clear what started the fight, but a video surfaced from Saturday’s preseason contest. At least three different Niners fans were seen throwing punches in the video. Multiple children were also in the vicinity of the violent altercation.
Way to set the example, San Francisco.
Eventually, security stepped in and broke up the chaos. At least one fan was left with a bloodied mouth because of the incident during the Broncos-49ers game. That individual was also escorted out of the stadium.
It’s also unclear if any serious injuries were sustained or if any arrests were made as a result of the brawl. Regardless, it was one of the first examples of fan stupidity in the NFL in 2023. Can’t wait to see more of this nonsense unfold.
49ers kicker Jake Moody redeems himself
In much more positive news, 49ers rookie kicker Jake Moody redeemed himself during San Francisco’s 21-20 victory over Denver on Saturday.
Moody connected on all three of his field goal attempts during Saturday’s game, including a game-winning kick as time expired from 32 yards out. He also drilled tries from 20 yards and 43 yards.

It was a huge boost for the former Michigan standout, who struggled in his first preseason game. Moody missed both of his field goal tries in San Francisco’s preseason opener against the Las Vegas Raiders. He had attempts from 40 yards and 48 yards in the game.
After spending a third-round pick on the former Lou Groza Award winner, there was some concern about his first NFL appearance. Head coach Kyle Shanahan said he wasn’t too worried about it.
“I mean, it’s unfortunate because I know the pressure on him when everyone’s looking,” Shanahan said, per Niners Wire. “I know he missed those two today, but he’s been great in practice. He’s hit them all. I was just excited to attempt a long one, which was fun until it was missed. But he’s been great. He handles himself well, so no issues here with me.”
Good call from Shanahan. You can probably just chalk up those misses to first-game jitters.
Making all three attempts, including a game-winner, is a great way to redeem yourself after a tough performance.
