Odds for Creighton vs. UCLA

Evidently, Las Vegas doesn’t expect Creighton’s hot streak to continue. As of this report, UCLA is a 9.5-point favorite over the Bluejays, according to DraftKings.

Further, the site listed the money line for the Bruins at -520 while Creighton sits at +390. The point total over/under currently sits at 139.5. History is on the Bruins’ side in the highly-anticipated showdown.

UCLA boasts a 2-0 all-time record against the Bluejays. Both of the programs’ matchups came in the 2017-18 season. Now, with their season on the line, the Bruins will aim to continue their perfect record against the Big East foe.

UCLA hopes to return star center Lauren Betts

It’ll certainly be an easier task if UCLA can return star 6-foot-7 center Lauren Betts, who was unavailable Saturday night. The sophomore was dressed in street clothing for the game after being seen on Wednesday at practice with her foot/ankle wrapped and elevated.

Betts averages a team-high 14.7 points, 9.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game while shooting an incredibly efficient 65.3% from the field. For her efforts during the regular season, Betts was named to the All-Pac-12 First Team.

UCLA head coach Cori Close claimed she expects Betts to be ready for Monday. Nonetheless, she knows her team must be ready to adapt to any situation.

“Can you respond quickly? Can you grow significantly?” Close said. “Can you execute a brand new scouting report with a completely different set of expectations and responses that are going to be needed? That’s the key to making a deep run in March.”
