Jac Caglianone has four-hit game, matching an impressive Bo Jackson rookie feat

Former Florida slugger Jac Caglianone started his MLB career just 2-for-21 at the plate, but he made good contact despite not racking up many hits. It seemed just a matter of time until he started connecting and putting them in play.
Sure enough, on Sunday in a game against the Chicago White Sox, Caglianone burst onto the scene in a major way. He went 4-for-4 at the plate. What’s crazier is what that feat meant.
Jac Caglianone became only the second Kansas City player to post a four-hit contest in his first six MLB games. The other? Bo Jackson did it on Sept. 11, 1986. That’s quite the lofty company to be keeping.
Caglianone accomplished the feat by singling three times and doubling twice. And while he’s yet to hit his first big-league homer, Caglianone has started to produce multiple extra-base hits.
In fact, his first career hit was a double in a game against the St. Louis Cardinals. That was an RBI knock, which surprisingly is still the only RBI of Caglianone’s young career. More on that hit below.

Jac Caglianone collects first MLB hit
Caglianone knocked a double to right field on Thursday in a game against the St. Louis Cardinals, his second ever MLB game. Caglianone had come close in the opener against the Cardinals, but the Kansas City Royals prospect was robbed a few times after making contact on all five of his at-bats. He finished 0-for-5 at the plate in his debut.
Thursday was more of the same early. Jac Caglianone grounded out on the first pitch of his first at-bat.
Then the big knock finally came. In the top of the fourth inning, Caglianone stepped to the plate and quickly fell behind in the count 0-2. Then he roped a liner down the first base line, just past the glove of the first baseman. It scored a runner from second, giving Caglianone his first career RBI as he trotted to second with a double.
You can check it out here. Through his first six games, Caglianone is 6-for25 at the plate (.240), with two doubles and an RBI.
