You’ve got to feel for Jalen Ramsey. Because of his NFL job, the cornerback abruptly had to move from one coast to another. And now he’s got to sell his cozy home.

OK, make that cozy, but humongous mansion. Ramsey bought the home from comedian and reality TV judge Howie Mandel back in 2020 for $9.5 million. And he listed the home, Monday, for $13.995 million, meaning he can turn a sweet profit for the trade between the Rams and Dolphins. We’re assuming the celebrity-laden Hidden Hills, which is adjacent to the Santa Monica Mountains, still is an enticing neighborhood for resale values.

The Wall Street Journal featured some of the mansion details. It’s difficult not to have some real estate envy for Jalen Ramsey’s West Coast home. It’s 10,000 square feet, with six bedrooms and 8.5 bathrooms. The amenities are gorgeous if you like a theater and wine-tasting rooms. The gym is tricked out and huge. Plus, there’s a covered patio and guest house out back, along with a basketball court, pool and sauna.

Jalen Ramsey issued a statement about the love for his home. It was so posh, you’d never have to leave.

“It is tough coming to terms with selling it because I do love it,” Jalen Ramsey said. “You can relax, play basketball, be healthy, workout,” he added, “you can do it all here.”

This isn’t the first time Jalen Ramsey has flipped coasts. The Jacksonville Jaguars selected Ramsey with the fifth overall pick of the 2016 NFL Draft. Ramsey had starred at Florida State, so it wasn’t that abrupt of a change. However, the Jaguars traded Ramsey to the Rams in 2019. It was right after he’d gotten into a verbal exchange with then-coach Doug Marrone. Rumors of trade demands made it to the media. The Jaguars placed him on the inactive list, with the team saying he was excused for the birth of his child. But he never played another down for the Jags.

The Jaguars traded him to the Rams in October 2019, in exchange for two first-round picks. And Jalen Ramsey played for the Rams ever since. That included when he helped them win a Super Bowl after the 2021 season. In his career, Ramsey earned trips to the Pro Bowl in six of his first seven seasons. And he was first team All-Pro for three of them.

Back in March, the Dolphins sent tight end Hunter Long and a third-round draft pick in exchange for Ramsey.

We’re hoping Jalen Ramsey, somehow, can find a cozy mansion in Miami with the extra cash he’ll be receiving from the home sale in Hidden Hills. Plus, he’ll be making $25.2 million in salary. The digs will be nice.
