Ja'Marr Chase makes NFL history vs Chiefs in AFC Championship
Ja’Marr Chase etched his name into NFL history books once again on Sunday versus the Kansas City Chiefs. During the come-from-behind effort in the AFC Championship game, Chase broke the NFL’s postseason receiving yards by a rookie record.
After putting up 116 yards versus the Raiders and 109 yards versus the Titans, the former LSU star needed just 30 yards to break the record. With six catches and 54 yards through nearly four quarters, Chase shattered it.
The new record is nothing new for the first-round pick. He set the new rookie single-game receiving record earlier this season, earning the offensive rookie of the year award. He also became the first rookie in NFL history to have 100-plus receiving yard performances in consecutive postseason games.
The fifth overall pick out of LSU, Chase has had quite a successful NFL debut. He finished the regular season with 1,455 yards receiving and 13 touchdowns, both of which led all rookies. The receiver immediately proved himself the favorite target of quarterback Joe Burrow, whom he played with in college.

The only accolade the young receiver hadn’t earned this season finally came versus the Chiefs on Sunday. Chase scored his first postseason touchdown to give the Bengals the game-tying touchdown.
Bengals stars connect for game-tying touchdown
Former LSU stars Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase connected for a third-quarter touchdown against the Kansas City Chiefs to tie the game at 21-21. After winning a national championship together at LSU, the Cincinnati Bengals stars are hoping to play for a Super Bowl next month against either the Los Angeles Rams or San Francisco 49ers.
After falling behind 21-10 at halftime, the Bengals got a game-changing interception from defensie tackle BJ Hill. The offense took the field, and Joe Burrow found Ja’Marr Chase for a short touchdown on an out route toward the corner of the endzone.
