Ja'Marr Chase ruled out of Bengals-Vikings game with shoulder injury

During a Saturday NFL game, Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase suffered an injury and had to exit the contest.
Chase appeared to suffer a shoulder injury, and the team announced that he was questionable to return as a result. The team later announced he was out for the game. The news was a significant blow to the Bengals, who were tied with the Minnesota Vikings 24-24 in overtime at the time Chase was ruled out.
The former LSU standout had already caught four passes for 64 yards in the contest, leading all Bengals wideouts.
The Bengals managed to succeed even without Chase, though, winning the game 27-24 in overtime.
A budding superstar, Chase has been excellent in his three years with the organization, topping the 1,000-yard receiving mark in each year. So far this season he has logged 89 catches for 1,092 yards and seven touchdowns.
In total, Ja’Marr Chase has racked up 257 career catches for 3,593 yards and 29 touchdowns.
He was named the 2021 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, while being named a second-team All-Pro that year. He is a two-time Pro-Bowler, too.
