Jerry Jones expresses love for Halloween, reveals favorite candy, trick or treat plans
Care to hear how Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones plans to participate in trick-or-treating this Halloween season? Whether the answer is yes or no, there’s a boatload of Jones’ opinions on the spooky holiday if you keep reading. So, fair warning.
With the 31st just days away, Jerry Jones fielded some Halloween-related questions when he made his appearance on 105.3 The Fan on Friday. Jones was asked about the controversial coned-shaped snack known as candy corn — a topic that seems to get a rise out of everybody in America. For the record: Jones loves the stuff.
He revealed a few other Halloween snacks he likes and then expressed his love for trick-or-treating and how he misses it. Jones has also taken notice of the inflation in candy distribution since he was a little boy. That’s why he’s scheming to disguise himself as a middle-schooler on Monday night, so he can go door to door grabbing bushels of tootsie rolls. Or, maybe he’ll assemble an army of the little runts to run out and fetch candy for him.

Anyway, here was the full Halloween ramble by Jerry Jones on 105.3 The Fan:
“Candy corn had a short life around my house. I was on the Hunt For Red October to find any of it. Some of those Cracker Jack ball, those popcorn balls that they put that syrup with. I can remember getting homemade stuff when you’d go around trick-or-treating. The thing that amazes me today is how much you get. I can remember back when you’d get a couple of fingers worth of candy. Man, I’m telling you, I’ve thought about having four or five of these kids going out here and getting me candy. But what a time. Halloween is a lot of fun. It’s an exciting time.

I’ve got little kids around that have these Top Gun outfits and that may be the cutest thing I’ve seen in a long time. When you see that one kid that looks a little weird or looks like he’s moving like he’s been hit by a car crossing the the street that night. That’s old Jerry trying to act like he’s 12.”
No matter how old, we can all enjoy some of the spooky season festivities. Jerry Jones is letting the holiday bring back out the kid in him.
