Jerry Jones reacts to Joe Biden comparison from Stephen A. Smith

Jerry Jones responded to Stephen A. Smith comparing him to President Joe Biden as the Dallas Cowboys continue to struggle. On 105.3 The Fan, Jones said he wished Smith saw what he does daily.
“I’m having huge support and huge input and help from everyone he mentioned in that call about stepping in,” Jones said on Thursday, per Jon Machota of The Athletic. “But I would say if he had asked me that question relative to the issue or the criticism that Joe Biden had about his ability to function, I wish he would follow me around every day. And he would see that I’m the busiest that I’ve ever been in my life.
“I’m not concerned about the ability to do the work, to do the job. I just made a quick 14-hour trip back and forth to New York yesterday for a league meeting.”
Earlier in the week Smith talked about being concerned for Jones, which led to the Biden comparison. On ESPN’s First Take, Smith said, “I’m getting very very worried about Jerry Jones… I find myself thinking about Joe Biden before he backed out of running for reelection. I think Jerry’s one month older than President Joe Biden for crying out loud… where the hell are his family members?”

More on Jerry Jones and Joe Biden
Biden was set to run for a second Presidential term but dropped out in late July, which led the Democratic Party to nominate Kamala Harris. Earlier this month, Harris lost the election to Republican nominee Donald Trump.
Jones is the owner, president and general manager of the Dallas Cowboys and has held those roles since 1989. Biden and Jones are 82 years old, so it would be understandable if Jones wanted to take to step back.
But Jones has shown no indication he’s retiring or stepping down in the foreseeable future. Despite the Cowboys winning three Super Bowls in the 1990s, Jones made it known he wanted his team to win another championship. And while Jones has had talented teams in the past, the Cowboys have not returned to the Super Bowl since they won it during the 1995 season.
