Joey Logano addresses health concerns following debut of his new bald look

Joey Logano set the record straight about his health after NASCAR fans saw his new bald look this week. The three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion went to X/Twitter to explain why he shaved his head.
“I got a bunch of text messages and DMs lately about my new haircut,” Joey Logano said. “And a lot of people are concerned if I was okay. First off, I appreciate everyone asking if I was okay. I am fine, I am perfectly healthy. Just wanted to get a haircut at the end of the season.”
Logano continued, “I have alopecia. I’ve had it for a long time now. So when we were cutting it, it was all flared up, and so it’s all spotty, and so kept cutting it. Now I got a new do. I’m good, like I said. Appreciate everyone caring. Didn’t think it would be this big of a story, but after getting so many text messages, I felt like I probably should let everyone know I’m alright.”
Joey Logano helps break ground on a new project
Logano was first spotted with his new look on Tuesday when he was in Huntersville, North Carolina, for the groundbreaking of Town 1, a project that will see 75,000 square feet of retail and commercial space constructed. “Yeah, this is going to be awesome,” Joey Logano said in an Instagram video. “This is so neat to see everybody here, the team that it took to create Town 1. And what everyone’s going to see, I can’t wait for it to be done and everyone to come out here and enjoy it and have some fun.”

Fans are relieved that Logano is okay because they are not ready to see him retire. The 35-year-old failed to win his fourth championship this past season, but he reached the Round of 8 of the playoffs and finished seventh in the final standings.
Logano has put together a Hall of Fame career. Along with winning three Cup Series titles, Logano has won 37 career Cup Series races, including the 2015 Daytona 500. He has also recorded 300 top 10 finishes in 609 career races.
