Joey Logano harassing Ross Chastain at Dover in aftermath of NASCAR Chicago beef

An on-track feud between Joey Logano and Ross Chastain over the past few weeks appears to be carrying over at Dover. The two have been involved in a handful of incidents already, though the fireworks haven’t quite exploded just yet.
According to Davey Segal of Sirius XM NASCAR, the two have already gotten into it three times today. Logano has been the aggressor all three times, Segal wrote.
Joey Logano has been heated with Chastain dating back to at least the weekend at Chicago. During that race, he was dumped by Chastain following a seeming misunderstanding.
Chastain was knocked into the tire barrier on a turn after some contact initially begun by Austin Cindric. But he seemed to think Logano was at fault and quickly and silently wrecked Logano on the next turn.
Logano was upset with the incident and confronted Chastain on pit road after the race at Chicago. He even got a confession of sorts.
Reporters had a chance to catch up with Joey Logano after that incident, and he was blunt. To him, there was no gray area surrounding the wreck and whether it was intentional from Chastain.
“Do I think so? Yes, he admitted he wrecked me on purpose,” Logano told FOX Sports’ Bob Pockrass. “He admitted it. Which means he should get fined if he admittedly wrecked someone on purpose. That’s not OK.”
Joey Logano has had more than one run-in with Ross Chastain this season. That’s part of the reason he was so heated after the race.

“Typical Ross,” Logano said. “He just sees red and does dumb stuff. That’s all. That’s twice this year on road courses at the end of these things I’ve been cost by Ross. I’m just over it.”
During the race at Chicago, Logano lamented that Chastain hadn’t seemed to do his due diligence before taking him out. Logano wasn’t the reason Chastain had hit the tire barrier, with the field piled up and a number of drivers in the area.
Yet Chastain seemed to hunt Joey Logano down anyway. For what it’s worth, according to Jeff Gluck of The Athletic, there were no communications from Chastain’s team that would have suggested Logano was at fault. So he appeared to be acting independently.
“Ross better get the f*cking information right before he goes and wrecks somebody,” Logano said, via Jordan Bianchi of The Athletic. “And there’s f*cking six cars behind me wrecking into me, and then he destroys me from four back. That motherf*cker.”
The animosity appears to have carried over to Dover. So it’ll be interesting to see if Joey Logano escalates things any further.
