All beef must come to an end. It appears Joey Logano wants to end his with Atlanta Braves legend and Baseball Hall of Famer Chipper Jones.

Logano picked up his first win of the season in Sunday’s race at Texas Motor Speedway and on Tuesday, showed off the trophy on social media. The three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion wore a Braves cap in Victory Lane and posted the picture on Jones’ thread where he congratulated Logano on his victory.

“I always knew you would become a 22 fan!” Logano tweeted. “Thanks!! Truce?”

All beef has an origin story; this one goes back to the April 27 race at Talladega Superspeedway. Jones criticized Logano for his radio tirade directed at Team Penske teammate Austin Cindric.

Logano’s initial frustration went back to the end of Stage 2 at Talladega. Multiple drivers and teams were vying for the stage win. Logano lost out to Bubba Wallace. It all happened after Cindric had to check up while trying to push Logano, who wasn’t happy afterwards: “Way to go Austin, way to go, you dumb fu*k! Way to fu*king go. What a stupid sh*t. You just gave it to him. Gave a Toyota a stage win. Nice job. Way to go. What a dumbass. Put that in the book again.”

That prompted a post from Jones on social media. Jones congratulated Cindric on his win at Talladega and took a shot at Logano.

“Congrats to [Cindric] on his [Talladega] win,” Jones wrote on X. “Good teammates are hard to come by, Boss! Remember that one of urs MFed u on national tv, when in all actuality, u did everything possible to keep from wrecking him. Hate to be #dueces in the ‘team’ meeting on Monday.

“Some people are ‘hooray for our team as long as I’m the star’ as every team has them. Hendrick, RCR, JGR, Penske, etc. Sometimes karma is glorious. Enjoy this one! In case anyone is confused, lemme be clear…. [Logano].”

Cindric then arrived at Monday’s meeting wearing a Braves hat of his own. Jones, whom Logano accused of “trying to be relevant” by calling him out, approved of the hat selection.

“Hahahahaha…..Mr. Irrelevant approves of this pic!” Jones wrote.

It sure looks like both of these superstars want their beef to end. Will it, though? Jones is in the on-deck circle and his response will determine where this goes.
