Following an initial ban from Indiana Pacers games, John Haliburton, the father of Indiana star Tyrese Haliburton, will be allowed to attend Game 4. According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, he’ll be allowed to attend the home game in a suite.

“Pops freed: Tyrese Haliburton’s father, John, will be allowed to attend Pacers home games in a suite beginning with Tuesday’s pivotal Game 4 against the Knicks, sources tell ESPN,” Charania wrote on Twitter. “John Haliburton missed eight games following a confrontation with Giannis Antetokounmpo on April 29.”

The ban for John Haliburton was due to an on-court confrontation with Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo during a regular season game on April 29th. The elder Haliburton has not attended a game to see his son since.

The Pacers front office made the decision to not allow John Haliburton at home or road contests involving the team. However, that ban has been lifted following the New York Knicks come from behind win in Game 3. Indiana currently leads the Eastern Conference Finals two games to one.

Following that initial confrontation, the elder Haliburton apologized to the “Greek Freak.” He said it reflected poorly upon himself and he dragged his son into the mess.

“I sincerely apologize to Giannis, the Milwaukee Bucks and the Pacers organization for my actions following tonight’s game,” John Haliburton wrote on Twitter. “This was not a good reflection on our sport or my son and I will not make that mistake again.”

In the two wins over the Knicks, Tyrese Haliburton scored 31 and 14 points. In the loss Sunday night, he put up 20 points, leading the team in scoring. However, New York outscored Indiana 36-20 in the fourth quarter, coming away with a 106-100 win.

Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals is scheduled for Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. ET in Indiana. The series will shift back to Game 5 in New York on Thursday.
