Josh Allen took at shot a the Buffalo Bills fans who left the season opener against the Baltimore Ravens before seeing the team make an epic comeback. After the game, Allen spoke to Melissa Stark of NBC Sports about rallying from 15 points down in the fourth quarter to lead the Bills over the Ravens 41-40.

“I think there were some people that left the stadium,” Josh Allen said. “That’s ok, we’ll be fine, but have some faith next time.”

The Bills were down 40-25 with 11:42 remaining in the fourth quarter. It was at that point when Bills fans at Highmark Stadium began leaving. But then, Allen threw a TD pass to wide receiver Keon Coleman with 3:36 remaining to cut the Ravens’ lead to eight. The Bills quickly got the ball back after Ravens running back Derrick Henry fumbled, and Allen scored again on a 1-yard run to cut Baltimore’s lead to two.

Buffalo’s defense got a stop on the ensuing drive, and the offense got in field-goal range. Kicker Matt Prater nailed a 32-yard field goal with no time remaining to give the Bills the victory.

Josh Allen had a memorable offseason

Allen, the reigning NFL MVP, had a memorable season opener, throwing for 394 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for 30 yards and two scores in the win. It’s a strong start for the 29-year-old who led the Bills to the AFC Championship game last year.

It was a busy, but unforgettable offseason for Allen. In March, the former Wyoming star signed a six-year, $330 million contract extension with the Bills. A little over two months later, Allen got married to Academy Award-nominated actress Hailee Steinfeld after dating for two years.

“I mean, they’ve all been big none other than marrying my best friend,” Allen said in June about marrying Steinfeld. “And she makes everything easier, so I don’t really focus on the other stuff. That was the most important decision I’ll make in my life, and I made the right one.”
