Keelan Harvick reacts to first race at Nashville Fairgrounds, All American 100

While the NASCAR season has come to an end, drivers like Keelan Harvick are still going in the late model ranks. Kevin Harvick’s 13-year-old son has grown up right in front of all of us. He made his first trip to Nashville Fairgrounds and the big track there.
Since last year, Keelan Harvick has been cutting his teeth in Limited, Super, and Pro Late Models. He was racing in the Pro Late Model All American 100. While his night was hampered by a wreck on the backstretch, Harvick mustered a P8 finish.
Speaking to motorsports reporter Steven Taranto, Keelan reacted to his Nashville Fairgrounds debut. It was a mixed bag, but there are more races to come. Including a race against his dad, once again.
“You know, Rackley WAR brought me a pretty fast car,” Harvick said of his team. “Just had to tweak several things on my driving part. I kind of got lifted up on that restart. That kind of put me back. I really had nowhere to go through the wreck. Just unfortunate.”
When it comes to Nashville Fairgrounds, the abrasiveness of the track is a big factor. In that way, it isn’t too far from what Keelan Harvick has raced at Florence.
“Just like Florence, it’s abrasive, but it has more banking than Florence,” Harvick said. “It’s really cool to just come out and try these new tracks.”

So, what’s next for Keelan and Kevin Harvick? The father-son duo is going to Kern County to race against each other once again. Keelan has got the best of his dad lately.
“It’s really cool,” Keelan said of racing his dad. “You know, every time I race my dad, I get to learn something new. Because he just teaches me so much when both of us are in the car, just really looking forward to it.”
At just 13, Keelan Harvick is already impressing people in stock car racing. He has shown a real talent for racing. With his dad, Kevin Harvick, behind him, there’s not much he won’t be able to accomplish. So far, Keelan has bested his dad in almost every head-to-head matchup.
In just a few short years, we are going to see Keelan in the Truck Series. We are going to see him in the O’Reilly Series. Eventually, we might see him race in the NASCAR Cup Series.
