Vanderbilt was on its bye during Week 12 with a comfortable 8-2 record. They defeated Auburn 45-38 in overtime on Nov. 8, winning three of their last four games this season. Their lone loss during that stretch was a three-point loss to Texas on the road after Vanderbilt scored 21 points in the fourth quarter in a comeback bid.

For Kentucky, the Wildcats are still looking to become bowl eligible this season. They’ve won their last two SEC games against Auburn and Florida, respectively. That win over Auburn erased a 10-game winless streak in SEC play that lasted over one calendar year.

One year ago, Vanderbilt won the matchup 20-13 in Lexington. QB Diego Pavia threw for 143 yards, two touchdowns and an interception during the matchup. Kentucky’s defense kept the Commodores out of the end zone in the second half but was unable to come back from the deficit.

Kentucky leads the all-time series 48-44-4, but Vanderbilt has won two of the last three matchups in the series. UK head coach Mark Stoops is 8-3 all-time vs. the Commodores.
