Kevin Harvick: Carson Hocevar has lost trust of fellow NASCAR drivers with 'horseshit'

Kevin Harvick shared some interesting thoughts on Carson Hocevar after his not-so-memorable weekend at Mexico City. On Kevin Harvick’s Happy Hour, Harvick said Hocevar is losing trust with fellow NASCAR drivers based on what he says in interviews and what he does on the track.
“I feel like at this point, everybody looks at it as it’s just a bunch of horseshit,” Kevin Harvick said about Carson Hocevar’s explanation of bumping into Ricky Stenhouse Jr. at the Mexico City race. “They don’t trust him because it’s happened so many times over and over and over. I love the speed, but now the garage is looking for results and things to progress in the right direction, or all the rest of that talk is just irrelevant.”
Harvick also reacted to Hocevar and Stenhouse being next to each other in the standings. Hocevar is 60 points out of the playoffs, and Stenhouse is 61 points out.

“What’s crazy about that is when you talk about those points is how fast that got so far behind,” Harvick said. That’s a race. Now they are a race behind from a points standpoint.” Harvick also said that Stenhouse was “in the playoffs” before his incidents with Hocevar.

That could be a big reason why Ricky Stenhouse Jr. is not happy with Hocevar. After the Mexico City race, Stenhouse went to Hocevar’s car and said, “I’m going to beat your ass when we get back to the States.”
“I just got left and in the marbles and slid a lot longer than I expected,” Hocevar said when asked about the incident with Stenhouse, per NASCAR.com. “So yeah, I mean, obviously number one, not somebody I would never want to hit again. But number two, just yeah, I wasn’t racing anything. I was just logging laps, just trying to wait on a yellow and maybe see if we could put our day back together. But yeah, I just hit a curb wrong and got in the marbles and slid all the way through the corner. So I tried to turn left and avoid him, but just really, really sloppy day by me, and then that was another incident of the day that was really just sloppy.”
