Super Bowl Sunday is here and Kevin Harvick is getting game day ready with his daughter Piper. She is going with Taylor Swift and the Chiefs. Now, the fact the NASCAR champion is a California native probably makes this a little hard to swallow. And the fact Clint Bowyer won’t let him hear the end of it.

In his newfound retirement from Cup Series racing, Kevin Harvick is enjoying his family time. Today, for the Super Bowl, he decided to ask his daughter Piper what she thought of the game. The six-year-old was asked who was in the game, and who she was going to cheer for.

Now, NASCAR drivers and families don’t get to watch a lot of the NFL season. So, we’re not going to ding her for saying the Kansas City Chiefs were playing against the Pittsburgh Steelers. (Another hit to Harvick and his California origins).

“Let’s go Chiefs!” Piper says in the video. When asked why, “Because Taylor Swift likes the Chiefs and Taylor Swift’s boyfriend is on there.” Of course, she knew Travis Kelce’s name. But not the fact the 49ers are playing.

Kids are great, folks.

Who do you have winning the Super Bowl tonight? The Chiefs and 49ers should put on quite an offensive showing if we’re lucky.

For Kevin Harvick and the NASCAR fans at home, today also means something more important – just one week until the Daytona 500.

Kevin Harvick making Daytona 500 debut in the booth

Next week will be Kevin Harvick’s Daytona debut, at least in the FOX booth. He was on the call for the Busch Light Clash, and fans were very happy to hear his voice. He was informative, funny, and was a great pairing with his friend and former teammate, Clint Bowyer.

It will be strange to not see Kevin Harvick climb into the No. 4 car. This year, that seat is occupied by Josh Berry as he takes on his rookie season in the Cup Series. A short track driver who has earned his starts by busting his rear for years, the 33-year-old rookie will try and help Stewart-Haas Racing get back to elite status.

Harvick has interacted with pretty much every active driver in the field at some point. As a former competitor, just months away from his final race, The Closer has an insight that others in the media do not have.

We will see how Kevin Harvick adds to the Daytona broadcast. There were plenty of complaints, and rightfully so, with The Clash production on FOX. Hopefully, we don’t get those issues during The Great American Race next Sunday.
