Kevin Harvick is absolutely fired up for Ross Chastain, Carson Hocevar showdown

Had it not been for an engine failure to start the final stage at Charlotte, Ross Chastain and Carson Hocevar may have duked it out. Kevin Harvick is looking forward to the moment we get to see those two gunslinging NASCAR drivers battle for a win.
Ross Chastain and Carson Hocevar are 10 years apart in age. However, the way they race is very similar. At times, they push the limits, piss off other drivers, and they really don’t apologize for it too much.
The pass that Chastain made on William Byron to take the lead late in the Coca-Cola 600 was a bold one. He slid up on Byron and, as he said after the race, made him make a decision. It was going to end with the two wrecking, and giving the race to Chase Briscoe or Chastain was going to take the lead.
We are bound to see Chastain and Hocevar battle it out for a win. Hocevar may have been right there at the end with the Trackhouse Racing driver. Kevin Harvick is dying to see it happen.
“Here’s what I do know, I’m here for the first Ross Chastain, Carson Hocevar battle for the win. … I do not care if they finish or not but I cannot wait until those two have to go head-to-head for a win, because it is going to be an epic moment,” Harvick said on his Happy Hour podcast. “It’s going to happen. If the 1 and the 77 can keep that performance up, that showdown will be worth watching.”

Kevin Harvick sees similarities between Ross Chastain, Carson Hocevar
Harvick continued with a comparison of the two drivers. Is it possible we get that showdown at Nashville this weekend?
“He [Hocevar] reminds me a lot of Ross. And I think they’re both, they’re quirky in their own ways, but they’re both relentless in their pursuit of trying to get to where they want to be, winning races, and surviving. Keeping themselves in a position to be relevant but also contending for wins. They’re eerily similar to me. It is very weird, but Hocevar, in general, has, he seems to be learning from every situation.
“You can see his patience, the way that they would talk on the radio, and the things that they would tell him. Those are from conversations that have been had off the racetrack, in meetings. And they’re starting to figure out how to coach him, and he’s learning how to keep himself in races.”
Last year, Hocevar was in the top-10 late during one of the five overtimes at Nashville. Ross Chastain was wrecked from P2 by Kyle Larson. If Chastain and Hocevar find that speed again, we could see that battle for the win sooner rather than later.
