Kyle Busch predicted how long he would race full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series and how many wins he could reach. On the Actions Detrimental podcast with Denny Hamlin, Busch said he would likely race for another five seasons.

“If I got four more years, let’s just say, 44, if I got four more left… I’d like to run five more because that would put me in the bracket of age for then Brexton, and then what all happens…” Busch said. “If I can get above 70 (wins), for me that would be perfect.”

Busch continued, “With the world we live in with this NextGen car and racing and everyone wrecking on final restarts and all this BS, if you can have a three or four race-win season and make it to the Championship 8, that is a good season. The icing gets put on the cake when you make it to the Final 4 and then you (blow out) the candle if you’re the champion.”

Kyle Busch is ready to snap his winless streak

Kyle Busch, who turned 40 earlier this month, has won 63 NASCAR Cup Series races, the ninth-most in history. From 2005 to 2023, Busch won at least one race each year. In 2024, Busch failed to win a race despite finishing second at Daytona and Darlington late in the season. He has yet to win a race in 2025.

Before the start of the 2025 season, Busch spoke to Bob Pockrass of FOX Sports about snapping his winless streak. “You’ve got to win, right?” Busch said. “And unfortunately, we weren’t able to win last year. So being able to get back to victory lane, being able to build on some consistency, getting those top five, top 10s, getting that number higher than what it was this year is definitely paramount.

“We had a rough summer last year, had a lot of DNFs in that stretch that kind of brought us outside the playoff and being able to get ourselves in contention.” Busch has earned four top-10 and one top-five finishes in 2025. On Sunday, Busch finished 21st at Kansas.
