Kyle Busch suffers crash during Goodyear Tire test at Indianapolis Motor Speedway

A tough season for NASCAR driver Kyle Busch continues to take some disappointing turns, with the latest a crash during testing at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Pictures from a Twitter user named Rexton Kemp showed Busch’s No. 8 car being towed off the track following a Goodyear Tire test.
Based on the photos, it appears that Kyle Busch struck the wall in his vehicle before crews intervened to help clean up the aftermath. You can see the photos below.
According to FOX reporter Bob Pockrass, Busch was scheduled to test tires at Indy today along with Denny Hamlin and Todd Gilliland. Each manufacturer gets to choose its team and participants for the tire tests.
The Turn 2 mounds at the track were open to spectators as part of the museum grounds, thus the photos of Kyle Busch’s mishap.
Busch currently sits in 17th place in the NASCAR Cup Series standings, trailing the lead by 186 points. He has 348 total points so far this season, with two top-five finishes and five top-10 finishes.
He has also led 130 laps, but he has one DNF and has also failed to win a stage so far this season.
Busch finished third at the Atlanta Motor Speedway earlier this year, while he finished fourth at Dover Motor Speedway. Those are his two best results of the season.

His most recent finish was a 35th place at the World Wide Technology Raceway. His day ended after he got tangled up with Kyle Larson and wrecked. It was a disappointing end in a season that has had plenty of them.
So far this is the first time in 20 years Busch has yet to secure a win.
“I’m not stressing over the playoffs probably as much as I’m stressing the 20-year win streak,” Busch said. “That’s the bigger goal. You win a race for that, you’re going to be in the playoffs.”
Busch also talked about what the streak means to him.
“I think it says a lot, Busch said. “There’s a lot of different cars that I’ve raced in that time. “There’s been a lot of different crew chiefs I’ve worked with and engineers and teams and people and pit crews and all that stuff.
“It just goes to show you how tough this sport is and where it’s become. What it boils down to is just being able to be consistent with fast cars, be upfront, we’ve had it some weeks, we haven’t had it in others.”
