When Kyle Larson and High Limit Racing show up in town, they make sure to bring a lot of money with them. Australia is no different. Once again, Larson and his sprint car series are bringing the richest payday in Australian sprint car history.

Last year, Kyle Larson won the High Limit Racing event in Australia. He showed up and took home the $100,000 AUD prize. That’s just what he does. He brings the money, dangles it in front of the other drivers’ faces, and then snatches it back and runs off home with it.

This year, the prize is $110,000 AUD. The event will be live on FloRacing for those interested in watching. Taking on the Perth Motorplex along with Larson, are 10 other High Limit regulars.

Buddy Kofoid, Brad Sweet, Carson Macedo, Rico Abrue, Aaron Reutzel, Corey Day, Cole Macedo, Brock Zearfoss, Jusin Whittal, and Xavier Doney are the American contingent, according to FloRacing.

Day is set to race the full NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series next season with Hendrick Motorsports. Seen as a protege of sorts of Kyle Larson, it is no shock to see him join the High Limit group in Australia.

Larson is no stranger to winning big money prizes. He seems to step up his game in those moments when the purse goes into the six-digit range.

Earlier this season, Larson won the High Limit Joker’s Jackpot at Eldora. After that win, he lauded the sport of sprint car racing for how tough it is.

“It’s hard to describe, and I think a lot of fans see me race on Sundays and they have a misconception of sprint car racing, that this isn’t, you know, professional, and I come ‘down’ to win these races,” Larson explained after the race in July. “But it is the toughest form of racing I get a chance to be a part of.

“So, the quality of equipment, the quality of drivers, the fans, everybody involved. Everybody’s, you know, partners and sponsors. This is as professional as it gets for American auto racing. So, happy to be a part of it, happy to be a part of High Limit Racing, and FloRacing having us on FS1 night. Can’t say enough about it.”

$110,000 AUD is equivalent to roughly $71,000 USD. That’s still a huge prize for whoever wins. The chances it ends up being Kyle Larson? Well, I would never bet against him in his own event with so much on the line. So, I’m not going to start now.
