Lamar Jackson injury update: John Harbaugh reveals Ravens QB's status for Dolphins game

Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh shared a big injury update on quarterback Lamar Jackson. While speaking to reporters on Monday. Harbaugh said he expects Jackson to be active for the team’s Thursday night game against the Miami Dolphins.
“I feel very confident about it. We’ll expect him to be out there Thursday night,” John Harbaugh said. This comes after Jackson has missed the last three games due to a hamstring injury.
It looked like Lamar Jackson was going to return on Sunday when the Ravens took on the Chicago Bears. However, the Ravens ruled Jackson out after a practice participation mishap on Friday.
At that time, the Ravens listed Jackson as a full participant in practice. But that was changed to limited on Saturday after learning that Jackson only worked with the scout team on Friday and did not take any snaps with the first-team offense.
“It really is an honest mistake,” Harbaugh said after the Ravens’ 30-16 victory over the Bears, per ESPN. “I can tell you this: Nobody’s trying to hide anything. There’s no advantage to be gained with that.”

John Harbaugh talks about Lamar Jackson’s practice participation error
Harbaugh then said he was not involved in designating the practice participation levels for players, saying that the decision was made by the public relations staff and athletic trainers. “I think, in their defense, he practiced a full practice,” Harbaugh said. “I think they felt like, because he did the same number of reps [as he usually does], it was a full practice. But when you dig in and you read the rule, at the end of the day, it wasn’t right. So, that’s what it was. That’s why, as soon as we found out, we changed it.”
It’s possible the NFL could punish the Ravens for the error. “John Harbaugh, the coach of the team, told reporters after the game it was an honest mistake. But that still sets the Ravens up for some sort of a sanction,” Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk said on NBC’s Football Night in America. “The question is, when the league looks into this, will they determine there was some sort of an effort to conceal his true status by saying he fully participated? Maybe the Bears would think he’s going to play.”
The Ravens could use Jackson back in the lineup as they are 2-5 on the year. Baltimore, a team that won at least 10 games in six of the last seven seasons, is in third place in the AFC North and 12th place in the AFC with 10 games remaining.
