Landen Lewis wins CARS Tour race at North Wilkesboro for Kevin Harvick Inc.
In the first-ever nationally televised race for the CARS Tour, Landen Lewis wins at North Wilkesboro for Kevin Harvick Inc. Lewis picks up his second win in a row in CARS Tour Late Model Stock competition.
Landen Lewis is a young driver whom Kevin Harvick believes in. He has been working with this kid for a few years at this point. Ron Hornaday Jr. has been involved in his development, too. He’s doing great things in the CARS Tour this season.
A fantastic and, honestly, dominant win tonight. Lewis is on his way to a full-time NASCAR ride in the Truck Series or Xfinity Series soon. At 19 years old, the sky is the limit right now for this driver.
The CARS Tour Late Model Stock race started with chaos. A Lap 2 wreck in the front of the field took out a few fast cars. Lanie Buice and Jake Bollman got into each other going into Turn 1. From there, things fell apart.
This win for Landen Lewis was awesome. He thanked the entire Harvick family for believing in him and giving him an opportunity. In fact, Piper Harvick was the first one to run up and congratulate Landen on his big win. Keelan wasn’t too far behind, smiling as his older KHI teammate celebrated on the frontstretch.
When you get a win on national television, it is a big deal. When it happens with your team owner calling the race from the broadcast booth, it’s an even bigger deal. The Harvicks have to be delighted to see their driver get the job done in the No. 29 car.
Landen Lewis is a name to keep an eye on. It won’t be long before we see him on national television every time he suits up.

CARS Tour puts on a show at North Wilkesboro
Despite the early wrecks, I think the CARS Tour put on one heck of a race tonight. It had enough action and racing throughout. Cars were falling apart, blowing engines, there was side-by-side racing and lots of rubbing.
North Wilkesboro is the biggest and fastest track on the CARS Tour schedule. It was the first nationally televised race for the series. So, nerves were clearly out there early on. Once it all settled down, it was more or less smooth sailing.
It would be so great to have the CARS Tour be part of more NASCAR weekends. There just aren’t many track that line up and can suit both NASCAR and the CARS Tour. North Wilkesboro sure can, though. Thank goodness for that.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. was in the booth. We get to hear more from him next week on Prime Video. KHI gets the win with Landen Lewis. What a night at North Wilkesboro for the CARS Tour.
