WATCH: Lil Wayne explains infamous Odell Beckham interview to Eli Manning
It turns out, Eli Manning does listen to Lil Wayne.
In 2018, Odell Beckham Jr. did an interview with ESPN with Lil Wayne by his side. When asked about the interview at the time, Manning told reporters that he didn’t watch the rapper very much. Lil Wayne took that personally at the time.
Over four years later, Wayne opened up with Eli on the Manningcast with his brother, Peyton. He wanted to squash the beef between one another once and for all.
“That was the perfect response,” Wayne told Eli about his comments. “Eli, I was actually vouching for you at that point, and they edited it some kind of way to make it took like I was talking about you.”
Eli Manning had equal praise for one of the rap games all-time greats.
“I wasn’t watching a lot of Lil Wayne, but I was listening to him,” Manning said. “I was listening to ‘A Milli’, I was listening to ‘Fireman’, I was listening to ‘Stuntin’ Like My Daddy’. I was listening to all those songs, my personal favorites.”

Lil Wayne shoutout Travis Hunter on Manningcast with Peyton and Eli Manning
No name in the NCAA transfer portal is bigger right now than two-way ATH Travis Hunter. A man who can play both wide receiver and cornerback at an elite level, Hunter has the attention of people across the country.
That includes rapper Lil Wayne, who is seemingly a fan of the former Jackson State player.
Lil Wayne was on ESPN2 on Monday night, making an appearance on the Manning Cast. Catching up with another person he is a fan of, Eli Manning, Hunter got a shoutout at the end. As the broadcast was going to commercial, Lil Wayne made his short and sweet statement.
Lil Wayne will be joining the rest of America, wondering where Hunter will be taking his talents for at least the next two seasons. According to On3’s Chad Simmons, four schools are currently standing out.
