Lions WR Jameson Williams hits outrageous booger flick celebration after first down vs. Rams
Jameson Williams has a new first down celebration. The Detroit Lions wide receiver debuted it during the first quarter of Sunday’s Week 15 road contest against the Los Angeles Rams.
Williams hauled in a 22-yard reception on Detroit’s first offensive series of the game. After popping back up to his feet, Williams unveiled what appeared to be a booger flick celebration.
It’s unique, to say the least. In era of elaborate and whacky celebrations, we’ve never quite seen what Williams just pulled out in Los Angeles.
Jameson Williams finding bigger role in Lions’ offense
Williams, 24, is in his fourth season with the Lions. He entered Sunday’s game with 45 catches for 802 yards and six touchdowns. Last season, he compiled 1,000 yards for the first time in his career.

Earlier this season, Detroit struggled to get Williams consistently involved in the offense. Williams has seen an uptick in production in the second half of the season with head coach Dan Campbell now calling the plays.
“He’s really grown and he continues to grow and get better,” Campbell said after Williams’ seven-catch, 144-yard performance in Week 13 against the Green Bay Packers. “He’s fearless. His fundamentals for the speed and quickness he has and the ability for him to drop his weight now and there’s really some detail to his route. He’s become a hard cover.
“Then you see the run after the catch ability. His confidence is growing. Our confidence is growing. He’s doing well. You should have seen him running [Monday]. This guy works now. He works in practice every day and love where he’s at.”
