Dallas Cowboys star quarterback Dak Prescott gave the entire team gifts on Wednesday, as his teammates took to social media to show off their new gear. The team showed off that Prescott purchased everyone on the team a pair of Jordan 11’s in the grey and white colorway.

Dak Prescott gifts Cowboys players Jordan shoes

In a fun moment for the team on Wednesday, Prescott’s teammates got to show off their unboxing of a gift from their quarterback. Wide receivers CeeDee Lamb and Cedrick Wilson, rookie Micah Parsons and offensive tackle Terence Steele were among those that showed off their new shoes.

A key focus of the Cowboys team this season has been their team chemistry and off-the-field friendships. As the team’s leader, Prescott goes a long way for setting the tone in that regard. Surprise gifts like this certainly don’t hurt things, at least.

The boost in chemistry is also a welcome one after a day that dealt with comments owner Jerry Jones made about the Cowboys receivers. Jones said on his weekly radio appearance that many of the Cowboys’ miscues on offense were a result of receivers running routes the wrong way.

In an effort to defend his highly-paid quarterback, Jones appeared to throw his receiving corps under the bus. Receivers in the NFL frequently are on a different page than their quarterback as plays are called and changed all the time. Hearing about it from the ownership is another source of pressure, and one that Prescott’s gift will go a long way to helping with.

DeMarcus Lawrence excited about return

The Dallas Cowboys have one of the best defenses in the NFL this year. They’ve done it without DeMarcus Lawrence — but he’s due to come back this week, providing a huge boost.

Lawrence suffered a fractured foot in Week 6 and hasn’t played since. He could’ve come back last week against the New Orleans Saints, but will likely make his return this week against the Washington Football Team.

In his absence, Dallas remained a top defense in the league. The Cowboys are tied for first in the NFL with 19 interceptions and four pick-sixes.

Lawrence spoke about coming back to such a great defense, and he gave an awesome answer.

“It’s like having clear skies on a beautiful day,” Lawrence said, via The Athletic’s Jon Machota. “You know you have something to look forward to. We have high hopes of a playoff run and making it to that Super Bowl.”
