Arizona Cardinals linebacker Mack Wilson walked off the field and into the blue medical tent during the fourth quarter of Monday’s Week 9 road contest against the Dallas Cowboys. Wilson has a rib injury and is questionable to return.

Wilson is tied for the team lead with seven tackles. He forced a fumble in the first half, knocking the ball out of the hands of Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson. Wilson also dropped an interception in the first quarter.

It’s been an eventful night for Wilson, who’s been a big part of Arizona’s effort in shutting down the league’s No. 2 ranked offense. Wilson, in his second season with the Cardinals, came into the game with 53 tackles (31 solo), three tackles for loss, six PBUs and one interception.

The Cowboys failed to score an offensive touchdown with Wilson on the field. Dallas’ offense came to life in his absence. They scored just a few plays after Wilson exited the game, cutting Arizona’s lead to 10.

But on the Cowboys’ next drive, Wilson’s replacement, rookie Cody Simon, made a game-changing play. He got a forced fumble of his own, taking the ball away from Cowboys running back Javonte Williams. Everyone is contributing for the Cardinals, who are closing in on snapping a five-game losing streak.
