Mark Martin calls out Kyle Larson lack of 'ownership' over Justin Allgaier wreck

Mark Martin had an issue with the aftermath of Kyle Larson hitting Justin Allgaier during the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Sunday. On the Door Bumper Clear podcast, Martin shared his reaction to Larson wrecking Allgaier after a late restart.
“That was not good,” Mark Martin said. “Especially under the circumstances, I hated to see that. Honestly, I’m a huge Kyle Larson fan, but I would have d to have seen him take more ownership than he did. He didn’t take enough ownership for me in that accident.”
Justin Allgaier was looking to get JR Motorsports its 100th win as a team in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. But when Kyle Larson clipped him, that ended his day as he was sent to the outside wall.
After the race, Larson, who finished fourth, explained what happened in his incident with Allgaier. “I wish I would have gotten clear there off of (Turn) 1,” Larson said, per Motorsport.com. He [Allgaier] didn’t really pack air too much on my door there. I just got enough and got just a little bit loose. My angle was bad as I was trying to shortcut the entry, and then I was kind of along for the ride. Tried to bail quickly and just caught his left rear, and wrecked him. I hate that.

Kyle Larson apologizes to Justin Allgaier
“You never want to do that to somebody racing full-time like that, so I wish I could have done some things different. Honestly, I don’t really know what I could have done right there other than to maybe help my angle into (Turn) 2 a little bit. Again, sorry to Justin and the No. 7 team.”
Larson didn’t have too much time to dwell on the accident with Allgaier because he competed in the NASCAR Cup Series Brickyard 400 on Sunday. He was looking to win the race for the second consecutive year, but lost to Bubba Wallace in double overtime.
Mark Martin is one of the best drivers in NASCAR history. He won 40 Cup Series races and finished in the top 10 453 times in 882 starts. Martin also won 49 Xfinity Series races, the second most behind Kyle Busch, who has 102 victories.
