Going downhill into Turn 1, Lanie Buice wasn’t able to turn her car down soon enough. Jake Bollman was arcing the corner on his own line. The two ended up meeting going into the corner, and that’s when it got messy.
A bunch of cars are damaged. There will be plenty of angry and frustrated racers early in this race. Let’s see how it plays out the rest of tonight’s CARS Tour race. 15 cars were involved in this incident.

CARS Tour gets the national spotlight
When the CARS Tour was purchased by the current ownership group, it was the best thing to happen to grassroots stock car racing. In just a few short years, it has made it on FS1. Also, we have seen a number of drivers go from this series into the NASCAR national series pipeline.
Carson Kvapil, leading rookie in the Xfinity Series this season, is a multi-time champion in the CARS Tour. Brenden “Butterbean” Queen appears to be the favorite to win the ARCA Menards Series championship this year; he is the defending Late Model Stock champion.
There are a number of other names. Josh Berry is the winningest driver in CARS Tour history, now he’s a winner in the Cup Series with the Wood Brothers. This series has started to produce serious talent, and it isn’t going to stop any time soon. It helps that Harvick and Dale Jr. race in the series somewhat regularly. A huge draw for fans and a reminder to the field to be on their best behavior.
A big wreck early, but the action is just getting started. The CARS Tour is going to put on one hell of a race tonight, so make sure to tune in.
