Miami (OH) hiring former Packers wide receiver Myles White as offensive assistant

Miami (Ohio) is hiring Myles White as their next wide receivers coach. On Thursday, On3’s Matt Zenitz announced the RedHawks were bringing the former Green Bay Packers and New York Giants wide receiver onto their offensive staff.
“Miami (Ohio) is expected to hire former Green Bay Packers and New York Giants wide receiver Myles White as wide receivers coach, a source tells @On3sports,” tweeted Zenitz. “He’d been the wide receivers coach at Stephen F. Austin after two years as an analyst at SMU.”
Moreover, Zenitz mentions that has been working as the wide receivers coach at Stephen F. Austin following two seasons as an analyst with the SMU Mustangs. After a playing career that took him all over North America, White has transitioned into coaching. Now, he’s getting a big chance with Miami (Ohio).
Prior to coaching, White began his playing career with the Packers. Joining the team in 2013 after being undrafted out of Louisiana Tech, White stuck in Green Bay for two seasons. Then, he joined the Giants under the influence of newly-hired offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo, who spent time with White in Green Bay. Afterwards, he spent time with the New York Jets and Tampa Bay Buccaneers before being cut by both teams.

Then, White took his talents north of the border, playing in the Canadian Football League for two seasons. First, he spent 2017 with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Then, he played his final season of professional football with the Toronto Argonauts.
Now, Myles White is taking the next steps to advance his coaching career. Under head coach Chuck Martin, the RedHawks have been a consistent player in the Mid-American Conference. Evidently, the program believes White can help advance their wide receiving corps.
If he’s successful, a long, fruitful coaching career could be in the future of the former Packers and Giants wide receiver.
