Micah Parsons' former Cowboys teammates DeMarvion Overshown, Trevon Diggs react to blockbuster Packers trade

Micah Parsons will not be wearing a Dallas Cowboys uniform on Sept. 4 against the Philadelphia Eagles. Instead, he is heading up north to play for the Green Bay Packers. Dallas traded Parsons on Thursday in exchange for two first-round picks and defensive tackle Kenny Clark.
Reactions on social media have come in quickly, including some of the now old teammates of Parsons. Three defensive players took to X, all without using a single word, to give their thoughts on the trade. DeMarvion Overshown and Juanyeh Thomas used GIFs, while good friend Trevon Diggs used a simple broken heart emoji.
Fans in Dallas cannot believe the move. And apparently, a few of the defensive players cannot either. You can check out their full reactions here.
The trio will not have too much time to reflect on losing the unit’s best player. Friday has the Cowboys back on the practice field getting ready for the regular season. A big one is on the horizon as well, facing a bitter NFC rival in the Eagles.
Sept. 28 just became a whole lot more interesting, though. Diggs, Overshown, and Thomas will get to play against Parsons. Sunday Night Football comes to town for what could be a classic, for non-football reasons, between the Cowboys and Packers.

More on Micah Parsons, trade to Green Bay Packers
The Dallas Cowboys have traded pass rusher Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers. Just weeks after Parsons requested to be moved due to a contract dispute, Dallas granted his wish. A landmark trade in the NFL, sending one of the league’s best players to Green Bay.
“The #Cowboys are trading All-Pro Micah Parsons to the #Packers & they agreed to a 4-year, $188M deal done by @DavidMulugheta and @AndreOdom of @AthletesFirst including $136M gtd, per me, @TomPelissero & @SlaterNFL.,” NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport said via X. At $47M per year, Parsons is the highest-paid non-QB in history and nets 2 1st rounders for Dallas.”
Everyone involved with the Cowboys organization knew Parsons’ contract would be a talking point this offseason. Jerry Jones and the front office have a recent history of dragging out such deals. Initially, Parsons was no different as he arrived in Oxnard with no deal. However, the situation spiraled enough for a trade request to be submitted.
The Cowboys initially stated there was no intention of moving Parsons. Something changed, as he is now a member of the Green Bay Packers.
