Dallas Cowboys pass rusher Micah Parsons was spotted at Dallas Fort-Worth Airport Wednesday, per NFL Network’s Jane Slater. He’s slated to get more opinions on his back injury.

“No he’s not headed to Cabo,” Slater wrote on Twitter/X. “I’m told Micah Parsons is seeking a second opinion on his back per a source informed. The Cowboys are off until Friday.”

The Parsons saga has been ongoing for weeks, since the former Penn State star formally requested a trade amid a contract dispute. Despite that, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is reportedly not even listening to offers for the disgruntled franchise star.

Matt Schneidman, who covers the Packers for The Athletic, joined The Pat McAfee Show on Wednesday to share insight into the situation and Green Bay might fit into it all. Evidently, Jerry Jones might not be so willing to ship his star player to another franchise.

“Yeah, I think right now, to my knowledge, Jerry’s not even listening to trade offers,” Schneidman stated. “So I’m not sure an actual trade offer can even be made unless he picks up the phone. The Packers may have an outline of what they would offer, but if Jerry Jones isn’t entertaining legitimate trade talks, then technically there’s nothing on the table. It’s semantics.

But if he does entertain it, from what I’ve heard, the Packers will be interested and they’ll be in the mix. Which, look — that’s information, but it’s not really a surprise. If you think back to 2018 — the Packers aren’t normally in the mix on these big-name trades. You don’t often see them making moves around the trade deadline. But remember, the Packers actually finished second to the Bears for Khalil Mack in 2018, and they were barely outbid.”

Whether it’s before Week 1 or not remains to be seen, but Parsons not being on the field against the Philadelphia Eagles would be a major loss for the franchise. Don’t count out Jerry Jones and his ability to close though, even in a unique situation like this.
