Michael Brockers believes the Detroit Lions are an ascending team ready to break out.

While speaking on the future of the franchise under Dan Campbell, the defensive lineman sung the praises of his team’s mettle.

“(Opponents) knew we were coming the whole 60 minutes of the game,” Brockers recently told Aaron Wilson of Pro Football Network, per NFL.com. “So that’s what I love about being here. You just see it. It’s generated that enthusiasm to be in Detroit, to play for Detroit, to be a Lion. You’re seeing it, starting with the younger guys.

“We have a team full of young guys who are buying into the system, and it’s going to be scary to see us in the future.”

While the Lions went 3-13-1 last season, the football world could see the building blocks that the team possesses. Then, Detroit hit a home run during the 2022 NFL Draft, bringing in former Michigan star Aidan Hutchinson and former Alabama wide receiver Jameson Williams during the first round.

Evidently, Brockers can’t wait to share the field with Hutchinson, and he spoke about how impressed he’s been with the No. 2 overall pick, as well.

“He is a man that’s on a mission,” Brockers said. “He does everything he’s supposed to do. You don’t even have to tell him. This is him doing a lot of his rookie duties… We didn’t even ask him. He just went on and did it. ‘What do you guys need for the room’ and stuff like that. I’m like, OK, this is a man who thinks ahead of time.

“You can respect a guy like that. He has a lot of respect in my book.”

As you can see, Michael Brockers believes they’re building something special in Detroit. Now, Lions faithful will hope for some winning to follow.

Dan Campbell delivers rave review on Aidan Hutchinson from Lions OTAs

Continuing, the Detroit Lions top pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, Aidan Hutchinson, is looking to make an immediate impact on his team, and so far, he’s doing just that. The former Michigan Wolverine has impressed so far during the Lions rookie minicamp and OTAs, and head coach Dan Campbell recently delivered a rave review about his rookie superstar’s performance in the offseason.

The Lions head coach already had to plenty to say about his homegrown superstar in Hutchinson.

“His DNA says that he’s going to do everything that he can to be successful. And he’s got enough ability and enough strength .. to go out there and help us and help us win some games,” Campbell said, wrote Birkett via Twitter.

Hutchinson brings a polish to his game that should help the Lions in their rebuild. So far, Campbell is happy with the results. Many draft analysts called Hutchinson one of the safest prospects in the draft. He feels like a sure bet to pan out for the Lions, but they still have to put the work in. And so far it looks like Hutchinson is doing that and then some in OTAs.
