As a Recruit
Aidan Hutchinson is a classic Michigan man. His father, Chris Hutchinson, was a defensive tackle and outside linebacker for Michigan from 1989-1992. He was a team captain as a senior on the undefeated 9-0-3 Michigan team that won the Rose Bowl. He was All-Big Ten first team twice, a 1992 All-American and 1992 Big Ten Lineman of the Year. Chris later got his medical degree from Michigan. Hutchinson wears the same number as his father, No. 97, for the Maize and Blue. His mother, Melissa, also went to Michigan, as do his sisters Mia and Aria. Hutchinson was a consensus four-star recruit out of Dearborn (Mich.) Divine Child where he played defensive end, tight end, offensive line and long snapper. He also played lacrosse in high school. He is majoring in applied exercise science at Michigan.
