Top-seeded Purdue will finally get its turn to compete in the Big Ten Tournament on Friday afternoon where they’ll take on Michigan State.

The Spartans won their second-round matchup against Minnesota 77-67 on Thursday behind a 17-point, 100% shooting performance from senior guard AJ Hoggard. He’ll look to be just as productive against the Boilermakers in the quarterfinals after shooting 3 of 13 in the two team’s last meeting on March 2. Purdue won that matchup 80-74 behind Zach Edey‘s 32-point, 11-rebound double-double.

Whoever emerges victorious between the Spartans and Boilermakers will face either Wisconsin or Northwestern in the semifinals on Saturday.

Purdue will be looking to win its second consecutive Big Ten Tournament championship this weekend. They’re two wins away from earning a conference tournament final for the third straight year, but the Spartans will gladly be looking to play spoiler on Edey and the Boilermakers.
