Mike McCarthy jokes about not being invited to 'McCarthy Bowl' between Packers and Cowboys: 'That's bullshit'

Mike McCarthy didn’t understand why he wasn’t invited to the “McCarthy Bowl,” which was the Green Bay Packers game against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night. While appearing on The Pat McAfee Show, McCarthy was asked his thoughts about the game that ended in a 40-40 tie.
“The fact that it was the McCarthy Bowl, and they didn’t invite my ass, that’s bullshit,” McCarthy jokingly said. “That’s the first I heard of that.”
McCarthy went on to share his thoughts on the matchup. Despite the score resulting in no winner, McCarthy was impressed.
“I thought it was a great game, I really did,” he said. “I think both teams have a lot of similarities. They’re young teams with arrows pointing up. I was not surprised that it was a close game at all. … The battle back and forth, I thought it was a very entertaining game. I thought a lot of young guys stepped up, both teams having some injuries and so forth.”

“Oh yeah, a ton. Mike is an incredible coach. I’ll put my fingerprint on it, for sure. But Mike is an awesome coach,” Schottenheimer said. “Mike and Jerry (Jones) had a lot of hard conversations, and it ended up not working out. But I will never talk about Mike McCarthy in any way but hold him in the highest regard.”
