The Reese’s Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama allows the nation’s top upperclassman to show off their skills and improve their stock ahead of the NFL Draft. And apparently, Missouri defensive end Darius Robinson has been doing just that, turning heads at practice this week ahead of Saturday’s game.

NFL draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah has Robinson ranked as the No. 32 prospect in his top-50 prospects rankings for the 2024 NFL Draft. His recent exploits at Senior Bowl practice could garner a bump up in those rankings, with NFL Network’s Lead Draft Writer Eric Edholm tabbing Robinson as potentially the best defender in the American Team’s second day of practice.

“The 6-foot-5, 286-pound Robinson won in just about every way imaginable in the two-hour practice,” Edholm wrote. “He dominated one-on-one drills, dispatched run blocks in the full-team sessions and also flashed a few speed-to-power pass-rush moves. Robinson even went around Oklahoma OT Tyler Guyton — one of the Day 1 stars who hasn’t lost many battles so far — with no problem.”

Robinson earned a First-Team All-SEC selection in 2023 after recording 43 total tackles, 8.5 sacks, and 14 tackles for losses last season, which were all career highs for the two-time team captain. And at the NFL level, he looks to resemble two other great pass rushers that are currently two of the league’s best.

“I love [Chris] Jones‘ hands and power, and Maxx [Crosby] has that four-quarter energy,” Robinson said. “I need to tap into whatever (Crosby’s) secret is.”

Robinson was a three-start prospect out of Canton High School in Canton, Michigan, where he was ranked No. 644 player in the nation and the No. 57 EDGE for the 2019 recruiting cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

But the Michigan native is now looking to get invited to Day 1 of the 2024 NFL Draft in his home state, with the draft kicking off in Detroit on April 25.

“That’s the goal, I gotta get that invite,” Robinson said. “I just want to finish off the right way this week here, test well at the (NFL Scouting) Combine, and hope it can happen.”

Robinson earned an invitation to the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine on February 29, where he’ll look to showcase his physical abilities in front of the league’s coaches, general managers, and scouts.

As he looks to continue boosting his draft stock on the field, off the field Robinson’s high character off the field is well documented, starting the Darius Robinson Helpings Hands Foundation and earning a spot on the SEC Community Service Team.
