Myles Garrett is ready to go up against Aaron Rodgers when the 2025 NFL season kicks off this fall. While speaking to reporters on Tuesday, the Cleveland Browns defensive lineman was asked about his thoughts on Rodgers signing with the Steelers.

“I think it’s a good opportunity to put him in the graveyard,” Garrett said. To be clear, Myles Garrett was referring to the graveyard he has at his home each Halloween. His graveyard normally has jerseys of quarterbacks he has sacked during his career.

With the Browns and the Steelers being in the AFC North, Garrett will have multiple opportunities to get Rodgers since the teams will play twice. Garrett is coming off a 2024 season where he recorded 14 sacks and three forced fumbles. He was named to his sixth Pro Bowl and selected to to All-Pro First Team for the fourth time in his career.

In March, Garrett signed a four-year, $160 million contract extension with the Browns. “I really think Myles is going to have the best season of his career. And has to right?” Browns defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz said earlier this month, per NFL.com. “I’ve told him before, what’s that Spider-Man quote, ‘with great power comes great responsibility.’ With the big contract, with the notoriety that came along with that, with the process that took to get him to that point, there also comes … there’s always pressure in this league but probably a little bit more so. But I think that brings out the best in players, and I know that will be the case with Myles also.”

Aaron Rodgers will make sure to have eyes on Myles Garrett when they face each other. The four-time NFL MVP signed a one-year contract with the Steelers last week. Pittsburgh is hoping that Rodgers can lead the team to its first Super Bowl win since the 2008 season.

Rodgers is entering his 21st NFL season. He spent his first 18 years with the Green Bay Packers and the last two with the New York Jets. Along with winning four MVP awards, Rodgers has been selected to the Pro Bowl 10 times and led the Packers to a Super Bowl championship during the 2010 season. Interestingly enough, Rodgers defeated the Steelers to win the title.
